ABOUT INSTITUTE

The National Institutes of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) Kolkata, formally known as TTTI (ER), was established on 11^th January 1965 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. At present, the Institute has 5 departments viz. (1) Civil Engineering (CE), (2) Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), (3) Electrical Engineering (EE), (4) Mechanical Engineering (ME) and

(5) Education and Management (E & M). The Institute conducts short term technical teachers’ training programme throughout the year on Educational Pedagogy, Science, Technology and Management and other relevant fields and also offer master’s degree programme in Engineering and Technology. Name of the post: Professor, Civil Engineering Number of post: 01 (OBC)

1. Essential Qualification:

(a)

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines$
  • Master degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines$
  • Ph.D. in the Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines$
  • First class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level AND
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.

AND

• At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor / Co-supervisor till the date of eligibility **

OR

At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility**

B. Essential specialization in one or more of the following areas:
